(un)platonic

I caught you in my shaken emptiness.

you were loud in your sudden turn—
a deafening gaze,
set my walls for a crumble;
a maddening dance of lips
stirred my almost void emotions.

your eyebrows had me moved.

a breaking smile put me
in a steady swallow
of words I could not utter.
you were madness inside I could not alter.

you made me numb from where I stood.

you had me at my weakened fullness
of you,
content in a makeshift embrace.
your strangeness started to set in—
filled with serene mildness.
I was almost feverish.

your eyes had me at first sight.

morning bade a halt to my futile schemes,
as you left me in a medley of sighs—
of countless billows,
endless quivers.

you were grace from where I sank.
